The Rappahannock County Department of Social Services is a small human services agency located in rural Rappahannock County, Virginia. The agency is in need of an attorney licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide legal services in cases before the juvenile, circuit and appellate court involving child welfare and adult guardianship. Zoning Administrator/Deputy County Administrator and Executive Assistant to County Administrator
Rappahannock County, Virginia, a rural county with a population of 7300 located 50 miles west of Washington D.C. is seeking two positions:
- A full-time Zoning Administrator/Deputy County Administrator. Candidate would have a BS in regional planning or other field related to local government and zoning, or related work experience. Responsibilities include coordinating with Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors and County Administrator on all matters relating to county zoning and would report directly to the County Administrator. Additional duties would include various administrative tasks required for the effective functioning of a small office team and some night meetings. This person will be an at-will county employee and not an independent contractor. Salary range $45k-$60k with difference to an MS degree.
- Executive Assistant to County Administrator. Successful candidate will be a reliable self-starter who is able to work autonomously, has initiative and takes pride in their work. Looking for a competent and experienced person with excellent English communication skills, excellent MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint skill set, and having five or more years administrative work experience. Prefer government office experience, zoning, and payroll processing experience. Attendance at night meetings required. Excellent benefits. Salary range $40-50k based on experience.
